The 15th edition of the Škoda 24 Hours Cycling took place this weekend on the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans. After the start was given by Pierre Rolland, the rain and the wind made an appearance during the afternoon on Saturday, messing with the riders on the track. The conditions improved greatly afterwards, despite the coldness of the night, and it’s under a warm sun that they all crossed the finish line on Sunday at 3:00pm.
For the overall victory, the Team S1neo Fastwan achieves the double win (246 laps so 1029km) and takes a fifth title after 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2023. Despite a complicated race start due to a puncture, an efficient teamwork and a great race experience helped them make a difference. The third and fourth place went to Blue Ice Vélo Saintes 17.
The Parisian formation Sprinter Club Féminin wins the women’s ranking (211 laps so 883km) and finishes 104th overall. The Team MSV Féminine finishes 2nd with 199 laps, in front of the Macif 2 who completes the podium with 198 laps around the circuit.
In the “solo” category, Bastien Bodnar (Team FCT) made an impression and won with 201 laps (841km and 170th overall) and Aurore Paulouin (Une des Traileuses de la Costa) in the solo women’s category with 151 laps (631km and 542nd overall).
