« Barbeuk 1 Normandie Cycles » wins the sprint !

The 16th edition of the Škoda 24 Hours Cycling took place this weekend at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans, after Nacer Bouhanni gave the starting signal to the 652 teams. Perfect weather conditions allowed the riders, as well as the many visitors, to enjoy themselves to the fullest on the track and in the village.

The “Barbeuk 1 Normandie Cycles” team took the overall victory in a sprint finish (256 laps, or 1,071 km), after staging a comeback during the night following Julien Janot’s crash at around 9 p.m. Nicolas Malle, 2016 European Junior Road Champion, commented: “Winning with most of my best friends is an incredible feeling!” The “Ensemble roulons pour les irréductibles” team won the women’s classification (230 laps, or 962 km) and finished 60th overall.

In the “solo” category, Stéphane Lombard won with 231 laps (966 km and 57th overall) and, for the second consecutive year, Aurore Paulouin (Une des Traileuses de la Costa) won the women’s category with 163 laps (682 km and 565th overall).

AGENDA: The 2026 Škoda 24 Hours Cycling will take place on August 29 and 30.
